I arise from dreams of thee
In the first sweet sleep or night,
When the winds are breathing low,
And the stars are shining bright.
I arise from dreams of thee,
And a spirit in my feet
Has led me-who knows how? -
To thy chamber-window, sweet!
The wandering airs they faint
On the dark, the silent stream,-
The champak odors fail
Like sweet thoughts in a dream;
The nightingale's complaint,
It dies upon her heart,
As I must die on thine,
O, beloved as thou art!
O, lift me from the grass!
I die, I faint, I fail!
Let thy love in kisses rain
On my lips and eyelids pale.
My cheek is cold and white, alas!
My heart beats loud and fast:
Oh! press it close to thine again,
Where it will break at last!

when you thought I wasn't looking
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I felt you kiss me good night,
And I felt loved.
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw tears come from your eyes,
And I learned that sometimes things hurt,
But it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I saw that you cared
And I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking,
I looked ...
And wanted to say thanks for all the things I saw
When you thought I wasn't looking.

O Mistress Mine
O Mistress mine, where are you roaming?
O, stay and hear; your true love's coming,
That can sing both high and low:
Trip no further, pretty sweeting;
Journeys end in lovers meeting,
Every wise man's son doth know.
What is love? 'Tis not hereafter;
Present mirth hath present laughter;
What's to come is still unsure:
In delay there lies not plenty;
Then, come kiss me, sweet and twenty,
Youth's a stuff will not endure.
William Shakespeare

My Mistress' Eyes Are Nothing Like the Sun
My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun;
Coral is far more red than her lips' red;
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.
I have seen roses damasked, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
And in some perfumes is there more delight
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
I love to hear her speak, yet well I know
That music hath a far more pleasing sound;
I grant I never saw a goddess go;
My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground.
And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
As any she belied with false compare.

She Walks In Beauty
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!

First Love
First Love
I ne'er was struck before that hour
With love so sudden and so sweet.
Her face it bloomed like a sweet flower
And stole my heart away complete.
My face turned pale, a deadly pale.
My legs refused to walk away,
And when she looked what could I ail
My life and all seemed turned to clay.
And then my blood rushed to my face
And took my eyesight quite away.
The trees and bushes round the place
Seemed midnight at noonday.
I could not see a single thing,
Words from my eyes did start.
They spoke as chords do from the string,
And blood burnt round my heart.
Are flowers the winter's choice
Is love's bed always snow
She seemed to hear my silent voice
Not love appeals to know.
I never saw so sweet a face
As that I stood before.
My heart has left its dwelling place
And can return no more.

You My Love..
In whispers I speak
And in faint echoes I sing
My Words are for the meek
My songs for he spring
So much I want to say
And so many words for you
As the Sun shines by day
My life is bright by you
Your presence makes me glad
your sight mesmerises me
Your absence lakes me sad
Your rememberance fantasises me
When I speak of you, dear
I haven't spoken enough
When I find you to be near
I am never close enough
When I decide to forget you
When I want to say Goodbye
My Mind reckons the moments few
I wanted to be with you, Oh my.
You laugh making fun of me
You tease me and enjoy
It is as angels caress me
And put me in bed of joy
When I arouse your anger
And when you are saddened by me
It is though I hunger
For your sweet love, affectionate authority
Even when you are away
and My hands do not touch you
I know love will find a way
To soothe you like morning dew
maybe you still don't know
That I am in so in ove with you
But does that matter so
Until you are in my view
The wonder what you are
I more than I can portray
The greatest love stories are not at par
With ours, I would say
May be I will never tell
With you i fell in love
Because like sweet Rosemary's smell
In love I rose above
For you I carry a secret love
And secret though it may be
God blessed it by Heaven above
For it is as pure as it can be
I wish to see you happy
On narrow path I wish you to be
Let your troubles grab me
And you in Heaven I shall see.
